Texas Congressman Introduces Legislation to Repeal Dodd-Frank Act Loan Data Collection Requirements


Representative Roger Williams of Texas has introduced legislation to repeal the loan data collection requirements established by Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act. This section amended the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) to require financial institutions to collect and report to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) information about lending to small businesses.
