On January 23, 2025, the US Supreme Court granted the US Department of Justice’s application for stay of the universal injunction of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) previously ordered by a panel of the US District Court of the Eastern District of Texas. This action reinstates beneficial ownership filing requirements, but the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has not yet announced new filing deadlines.
