The Stanford Center for Racial Justice is pleased to introduce Ria Ellendula, who is joining us as a research assistant for the summer. As we continue to produce a high volume of written content—from reports and policy briefs to newsletters and web materials—Ria will help ensure our research is clear, consistent, and accurate across all of our publications. She will play a key role in reviewing and editing these materials, checking that each piece meets our high standards of quality, including verifying references and confirming proper attribution in everything we publish. Additionally, she will engage in law and policy research across our issue areas, particularly focused on education, AI bias, and criminal justice. With our multiple projects in motion, her contributions will be vital to keeping our written work both reliable and polished while also expanding our research capacity. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the impact she’ll make this summer. Welcome, Ria!

Ria Ellendula | Ria is a recent graduate from Northville, Michigan. Ria completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She has also previously worked with the ACLU of Michigan on legislative proposals to reform discriminatory cash bail procedures. Ria hopes to eventually attend law school and specialize in constitutional and civil rights law.
