A Texas federal district court ruled in favor of online event contracts marketplace PredictIt in an action challenging CFTC regulatory efforts to restrict its operations, finding the CFTC’s actions arbitrary and capricious. The court permanently enjoined the CFTC from seeking to close PredictIt or imposing any other sanction on PredictIt and the named plaintiffs.
