A state appeals court has upheld the law license suspension of attorney Norm Pattis—a lawyer for former Infowars host Alex Jones—who improperly disclosed the sensitive medical files of a Sandy Hook Elementary School family during a 2022 defamation trial.

A Connecticut court ruled that Pattis’ license could be suspended for two weeks. He sent medical records to lawyers representing two Sandy Hook parents who won their case against Jones, the architect of the Infowars website proclaiming that the elementary school shooting was a hoax. Twenty children and six educators were killed in the December 2012 shooting.

“I continue to believe that the court overreacted because the case involved Sandy Hook,” Pattis said in a statement reported by NewsTimes.com. “The proceedings as a whole remain deeply troubling.”
