Seven of the top 10 law firms for gross revenue held their positions in the 2026 Am Law 100.

Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins and DLA Piper remained in the top three spots, according to Law.com, which publishes the rankings of the 100 largest firms in the United States each spring. In addition to gross revenue, ranking categories include revenue per lawyer, profits per lawyer and average compensation for all partners.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom switched places in the rankings, Law.com reports. Gibson Dunn moved up one spot to No. 4, while Skadden moved down one spot to No. 5.

Additionally, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett moved up two spots to join the top 10 firms for gross revenue. Morgan, Lewis & Bockius was at No. 10 in the rankings last year, but moved down to No. 11.

Other firms in the Am Law 100’s top 10 for gross revenue are Sidley Austin, Ropes & Gray, Baker McKenzie and White & Case.

According to Law.com, 62 firms reported gross revenue of $1 billion or more last year, while 94 firms reported gains in gross revenue. Fifty-eight firms reported gross revenue of $1 billion or more in 2024.
