Last week, we talked about doing things when you are scared. You’ve done it before and you can do it again. And every time you did something scary before, you did not die.
Yes, I’m being flippant, and yes, I realize that people die in accidents and blah, blah, blah, blah. But I’m also telling you that having a presentation go south or putting your foot into your mouth in a job interview (as the interviewee or interviewer) has not killed you yet, and it’s not going to kill you in the future.
This is not advice to take life-threatening risks like swimming with crocodiles or working for one of the terrible bosses on Jon Hyman‘s worst bosses list.
But it is advised to have some perspective.
