Alabama Police Investigate Missing Woman’s 48-Hour Disappearance

Carlethia ‘Carlee’ Nicole Russell, the 25-year-old woman who went missing for 48 hours after attempting to help a child on the interstate, has been found safe, Edward Helmore reports for The Guardian. Alabama police are trying to unravel the mystery of what happened during her two-day disappearance.

Carlee was reportedly driving home when she spotted a child on the side of the interstate. When she got out of her car to help, she was allegedly abducted. She was found 48 hours later. According to Hoover police chief Derzis, police will attempt to understand what happened once Carlee has had time to rest and recuperate.
