CFPB Withdraws Consumer Data and Digital Payments Proposals


The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has withdrawn proposed rules that would have extended Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements to information sold by data brokers and would have clarified that certain Electronic Fund Transfer Act provisions extend to new types of digital payment mechanisms.
