On December 23, 2024, the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted the Department of Justice’s emergency motion staying the preliminary injunction against enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and its implementing regulations, which reinstated CTA filing requirements. The US Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network issued an Alert clarifying deadlines and granting limited extensions.
