A former CIA officer has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of women over a 14-year period in at least three countries, María Luisa Paúl reports for the Washington Post. Prosecutors allege that Brian Jeffrey Raymond also photographed or filmed the total of 28 nude women without their consent during a career that included extensive travel for both business and pleasure. On Tuesday, Raymond pleaded guilty to four of the 25 counts he’d been originally charged with — including sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, coercion and enticement, and transportation of obscene material. Under a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed the most serious charge of aggravated sexual abuse, along with other charges. Raymond will face between 24 and 30 years in prison and will also have to pay a mandatory restitution of $10,000 to each of his victims. He is scheduled to be sentenced in September 2024.
