The 2025 salary of Netflix’s chief legal officer hit $2 million—a 33% increase from the $1.5 million that he earned one year earlier and placing him at the top of the market, according to a proxy statement filed Thursday.
Among the 544 legal chiefs included in Corporate Counsel’s General Counsel Compensation Report published last summer, no one had hit $2 million in salary, according to a story by Law.com.
Notably, chief legal officer David Hyman’s total compensation actually decreased 11%—from $17.3 million to $15.4 million—as his cash incentive payout decreased 22%—from $6 million to $4.7 million—and his equity awards decreased 10%—from $9.7 million to $8.7 million—according to Law.com.
