The CFTC’s Division of Clearing and Risk (DCR) issued an advisory regarding the clearing of options on spot commodity-based exchange traded fund (ETF) share products. In the advisory, DCR concludes that bitcoin ETF options, listed on SEC-registered national securities exchanges, do not implicate CFTC’s jurisdiction, clearing the way for the offer and sale of these products.
