Jones Day said Monday it has hired four U.S. Supreme Court clerks from the October 2024 term as associates in its issues and appeals practice.

Jones Day said it has recruited 100 Supreme Court clerks since the October 2011 term.

The latest group is smaller than what Jones Day has announced in recent years, according to a story by Law.com. The law firm hired 10 Supreme Court clerks from the October 2023 term, eight clerks from the October 2022 term and seven clerks from the October 2021 term.

All four recent hires, three women and one man, clerked for justices who were appointed to the bench by Republican presidents.

The new Jones Day hires are Elise Kostial, who clerked for Chief Justice John Roberts; Kari Lorentson, who clerked for Justice Amy Coney Barrett; Seanhenry VanDyke, who clerked for Justice Brett Kavanaugh; and Alexis Zang, who clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas.
