Banking Agencies Issue Exemption from Customer Identification Program Rule


The Federal Reserve Board (FRB), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), National Credit Union Administration, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) (collectively, Agencies), in concurrence with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), issued an order granting banks an exemption from a requirement of the Customer Identification Program (CIP) Rule implementing Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act.
